Fun and challenging adventure!

Awesome tour - one of the best I've been on! Our guides were amazing, and this was a more challenging adventure, which is exactly what we were looking for!

No hike for old men

I am a 72 year old man and my friend is 77. When I was booking i was told there would be half hour hike. In realty the hike was a strenuous and very technical hike, climbing up and down steep paths over rocks and tree roots. All of this in torrential rain. The other tour customers were all in their 20's and enjoyed the trip. My friend and I sat it out on the porch of a local. On the plus side, the guide, Jacob, was amazingly knowledgeable in many subjects from geology to politics. And we enjoyed seeing the countryside.

The tour guide Joe was AMAZING. He was very personable and very helpful. Still no response on how to get photos that were taken during my tour. Overall a good experience, would do it again.

If you’re looking for a unique experience in el Yunque, this is it. This was challenging and fun but worth it. The guides (Jacob, Christian and Mitchell) were knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Be sure to read and follow ALL of their instructions. This is not meant to be ranger-led interpretive hike through the rain forest, and that’s okay. Just know what you’re getting in to.

This was an awesome experience! Loved every moment and would definitely recommend it to others. There are a few "challenging" spots but I wouldn't call it an advanced hike or even difficult.

We would absolutely recommend this tour! We had an AMAZING time and the tour guides were great. Super attentive, prepared us really well, put us all at ease on the slightly challenging hike (we have no experience). So much fun!

Unique adventure with a muddy hike & cliffs

I enjoyed this experience. As a solo traveler who moved here to PR a year ago, I hadn’t taken advantage of its various natural wonders. This one was a nice challenge. Prepare to go wet, muddy, then wet again as you climb and cross... and jump! 29ft cliff, sign me up! *fair warning, it looks at lot different when you’re up there looking down, but well worth the climb. Manny was great, y Joe tambien! I enjoyed talking to groups, couples and other fellow travelers from around the world. I would recommend this to anyone looking to do exploring outside the normal tourist sites. If you’re willing to walk through some knee-deep water, and want to have fun, go down the slide, jump from the baby cliff, then the big one, swing from the rope, buy a couple medallas from the local bar, and empanadas (chicken) & smoothie from the natural juice restaurant on the way back for lunch. The weather in February also helped, as it didn’t rain at all during our trip.

Physically demanding

This tour is more than you expect. Pay attention to the “ what to expect” section of tour. Make sure to bring a waterproof phone case. Your phone WILL get wet. Our guides Joe, James and Mitchell are the best in the business. Believe them when they tell you what to expect. They do this every day. You cannot do this tour without Joe, James, and Mitchell. They are the best trust me. Unless your are an avid rock climber, you will need help climbing over and up a rock wall. Our team was always keeping the pack together no matter what and always giving reinforcement. Trust me you will need it sometimes. I will definitely do this tour again and only with these three men. This tour is physically demanding but it’s worth it in the end. 5 ⭐️ to this tour and guides.
