1:00 PM
This activity will end right where it started.
Choose a morning or afternoon tour and meet in downtown Portland to collect your bike and board the coach to Columbia River Gorge. Use the 45-minute drive as a time to charge up and snap photos before some active exploring of the Gorge’s main attractions.

Upon arriving, transfer to your bike and follow your guide on a leisurely 10-mile (16-km) ride through the hills along the country’s first National Scenic Highway. Stop for short nature hikes through evergreen forests, where you may spy an osprey or an elusive bald eagle. Your guide will lead your trek past hidden waterfalls — take some time to bathe in their cool mist from afar or wade into the shallow pools (with appropriate shoes!).

Snacks will be provided throughout the day, but feel free to bring extras along. Enjoy some nibbles as you head back to Portland. Depending on your tour time, your 5-hour trip will arrive back just in time for lunch or dinner.

Jay is super thoughtful guide! He explained everything that's happening next every time we are at a milepoint! The ride itself is a ton of fun! The view from Columbia river Gorge all the way to Multnomah Falls was just fabulous! It's mostly downhills and we are following the historical highway - you can never get lost!

This bike tour combined the bike riding (mostly downhill) and some hiking to see very impressive waterfalls along the Columbia river gorge. It was a very pleasant ride and very enjoyable. The tour guide, Scott, was very knowledgeable and told many interesting stories along the way. Highly recommend it!

Amazing. Took my 14 year old daughter and even she managed to keep up! The biking itself was freeing. Breath taking views, the wind kissing your skin. The hikes were more challenging, but I’m sure any average person could make it. Our tour guide, Jay, was awesome. He took pictures for us, and checked up on all of us—while hiking and riding, and hyped us up while we were biking. It was nice to see someone so excited about their job and nature. He also was knowledgeable of the surroundings.

We loved our tour! Jay was a wonderful guide and really let the group go at our own pace. The activity level wasn't crazy by any means but we were still pooped by the end of the day! The gorge is always beautiful but seeing it by bike makes it next level.

Great tour! You begin at the top of a mountain and travel in one direction stopping every 1 to 3 miles at waterfalls and other points of interest along the way. Incredible views and plenty of opportunities for hiking! The weather was in the 90s but it never felt hot with all the shade. Loved our tour guide Scotland, who was super knowledgeable, personable, and funny! Would definitely do it again!
