Molokini Crater Zodiak Adventure Snorkel and Turtle Cove Swim

We enjoyed the snorkeling at Molokini but felt rushed when looking for turtles. We had problems finding parking and that caused us to be late. Some guidance would have been appreciated. The sandwiches were not great. Also, there were not enough seats for everyone. Sitting on the inflatable pontoon was not a seat!

The staff were awesome! The trip out and back was awesome! This will be a lifelong memory! I strongly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui!

Tour is ran by friendly and professional people. Plenty of time to snorkel in both areas. More relaxing and casual than larger tour boats.

I want to give some advice regarding this excursion. It will say the boat leaves at 8 am and you can start boarding by 7:30 am. We arrived promptly at 7:30 am. The boat was already full. There are not enough seats for all of the tickets sold. They have you sit on the big yellow pontoons on the sides of the boat. By the time we left the dock the pontoon areas were completely full of passengers. This is both very uncomfortable and very wet. You get sprayed with sea water the entire trip. Not fun. My suggestions should you choose to take this excursion is to arrive no later than 7:10 am to get a seat and bring your stuff in a water proof bag. Even if you have a seat everything gets wet, it’s an open boat. If you don’t have a seat your stuff is on the ground in the aisle where people step on it and drip all over it. I would not take this trip again.

Our boat captain was handfeeding birds while driving us out to the island, it was very much like something out of a movie! Great environment, yummy snacks and kind staff. Staff remembered our names and greeted us personally every time we entered the boat. 10/10 would recommend!

Brian, Noah, and Scott were spectacular! Captain Brian was entertaining and the whole crew was so friendly! My husband and I agree this was one of the best parts of this trip! We saw lots of turtles and fish. Awesome!

Super fun excursion to Molokini Crater! Awesome!!! 1. Really easy to find departure location with bright yellow boat. Bathrooms onboard helped a lot. Boat is really fast and made for a fun experience getting from place to place. 2. Breakfast was coffee, juice, granola bars, and muffins which were available all day. 3. The snorkel gear they had was even better than the snorkel gear I had rented! They also offered fins, anti-fogger, and pool noodles to help float more conveniently while snorkeling! 4. Molokini Crater snorkeling was so amazing. Beautiful crystal blue waters teeming with life... best snorkeling experience I've had. Amazing! 5. Due to the southern swell, waters were not ideal so snorkeling at Turtle Cove was not great due to unclear waters. However, we still got to see a few turtles but probably spent too much time here and should've just cut losses and spent more time at Molokini Crater. Not a huge deal still. 6. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, yelling out locations of turtles nearby and even offering prescription goggles for people with glasses. The only reason why I went down to 4 stars 1. I had messaged the tour company via Viator about requiring 1 vegetarian meal. I didn't hear back from the tour company and on the day of, they ran out of veggie wraps for lunch so embarrassingly, my friend had no lunch after a 6 hour snorkeling trip except chips and a granola bar. I would recommend checking correspondence on Viator and also packing extra veggie wraps.

It was an AWESOME time. Because the boat is smaller we got to go Places the larger boats couldn’t. The captain and crew were great and very helpful. We loved it !!

Amazing from start to finish. Crew was awesome and they have snacks and coffee to kick things off. We visited three spots, seeing over a dozen sea turtles and beautiful coral reefs. The smaller raft can get to areas the larger boats can’t. Highly recommend!

I LOVED the boat, the crew and the experience! I didn’t want a huge packed boat. This was the perfect size. And I prefer a speed boat to a slow cruise. Lunch and snacks were good. There’s a restroom on the boat. We weren’t able to see turtles because the water was murky from the rough waters the day before. The crew has no control over that. But the water at Molokini Crater was clear and the bluest water I had ever seen. There was mainly one type of fish. I was hoping for more. Again, not at the fault of the crew. We had the same conditions as any other tour boat. But we saw sea urchins on the coral at the bottom. And some scuba divers. If we ever get back to Maui, I will definitely go with Molokini Crater Zodiac Adventures again.
