Chauffeur only—no Tour Guide!
Brian_P
, Oct 2021
Canyon and Park were beautiful, but it was not a tour; driver was just a chauffeur with no tour guiding involved AT ALL. Also, no need to waste time at Zion Visitor center. Need to see more of the park with short 15 min stops at the views. Bryce was great (1.5 hours), but again, no tour guiding at all—although he was a great driver and kept us safe, so we tipped.

Best experience in Zion and Bryce with tour guide Jim Vegas

Best experience with tour guide Jim Vegas and driver Patrick. Best choice of route: taking in the beauty of Zion while ascending through the canyon in the morning, and best tips for exploring Bryce in the 1.5 hours allotted for a small hike. Jim was wonderful sharing all the information about the places along the journey as well as about the history of Las Vegas and all its attractions.

Great tour, unsafe driver

The parks themselves were amazing, and if not for the driver, I’d give this a 5 star rating. Jim was our driver and was very aggressive, like road rage aggressive. He changed lanes excessively cutting other drivers off, was all over the road frequently hitting the lane warnings on the road, tried using the shoulder to bypass cars when exiting, yelled at other drivers, and the worst offense was texting while driving on the return trip. He made comments to the passengers such as, “Welcome to my world,” when a passenger asked about restroom breaks, “I can’t keep a job” when asked how he knew so much, which most of the time he gave incorrect information. He came across as a con artist who doesn’t like his job. At one point he even said he started the tour company, as if he owned it. He didn’t know the vehicle he was driving and messed up by not clocking out for a break (yes, we heard the call with his supervisor) as we were leaving Bryce. I would recommend the tour, it was amazing, but this driver shouldn’t be transporting passengers.
