Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve

Matt was like an encyclopedia of fascinating knowledge! Delightful kayak trip complete with beautiful scenery! We even saw an upside down jelly fish!

Maneuvering through mangrove tunnels, dolphin sightings, beautiful greater egret perched in a tree on our return were all highlights on a relaxing but active tour of Rookery Bay with my nieces on their first trip to the Naples area. Our guide was so knowledgeable and passed on so much information about the flora and fauna of this unique part of Florida!

Matt our tour guide was very informative about Rookery Bay Reserve. We were lucky enough to see a dolphin and her calf! He showed us many of the shells, oysters starfish that can be found in the bay. It was fun kayaking in the mangrove tunnels!

Matt was a good guide. However, I have called twice asking for our pictures and we have not received then.

Our guide, Nathan, was so knowledgeable and attentive. He guided us through narrow lanes of mangroves with expert advice. We felt the real wilderness of the Rookery Bay. We saw dolphins, upside down jelly fish, tree crabs that looked like spiders and a tri-colored heron. Because of the heat and the time of day not many birds were visible. This was an adventure every family should experience ! My grandchildren are 12 and 9 years old and it was great entertainment ! Definitely would do it again !
